Introduction
Welcome to the NYKFP Chat Room. This chat room enables you to interact live with other Knicks fans visiting here at NYKFP. You are welcome to chat as long as you like, but please keep conversations in the chat room civilized. Please note that the chat room is occasionally moderated. You may be permanently banned from the chat room if you abuse your chat priviledges.
Instructions
- Before starting, please have Java and JavaScript enabled in your web browser before entering the chat room.
- Click the link below and wait for the Java applet to finish loading.
- If you get a security dialog asking if you wish to trust an applet signed by Phillippe Detournay (the author of the chat applet), click either Yes or Always.
- When the chat room loads, please change your chat room nickname from the default NYKFPGuest to your regular forum or chat nickname in the bottom-right corner of the chat window.
Chat Room Rules
All users must abide by the following set of rules for to participate in chat. Failure to abide by these rules will result in a warning. Repeated failure to abide by these rules will get you banned.
- Do not beg for op (admin) priviledges.
- Do not spam or flood the chat screen.
- Java chat room users must identify themselves upon entry by changing their nick from NYKFPGuest to their regular chat and/or forum identity.
- Do not use the main chat room for personal messages. Direct all messages exclusively for an individual in the chat room via a private message.
- The rules for the forums apply to the chat room if applicable.
IRC Channel Info
This chat room is available on IRC, enabling users who would rather chat in a separate IRC application to do so. The following info is needed to enter the NYKFP Chat Room through an IRC client.
